Crazy about Infernal Affair

source: http://www.les-marcheurs.net/article.php3?id_article=81

You know 'The Departed', the oscar's winner movie?
from Indozone, i heard that it was a remake movie of Hongkong movie called 'Infernal Affair'..
That time, I little bit curious about it, but since I kinda didn't like gangster/triad movie where only show a gunshot... so, I ignore all about IA.

and last week, in the holiday aura. no much works to be done.. so, as ussual, in that time, I was holding the remote control, switching the channel as I like.. and hey there's a good movie, Dr. Doolitle.. great..long time I don't watch comedy.. But u know, the temptation to switch channel between the commercial break so great(pardon me rarely authority for the TV remote control).. and there's in LaTiVi.. a Hongkong movie, called Infernal affair...

ya.. ok.. maybe I'll take a look.. so i watch it.. subtitute it with Dr. Doolitle which played in other channel... I watch it not seriously, only want to kill my time..
the movie is so stunning... many of the scene make my heart feell.. u know.. it moves your heart.. It different from every triad-hongkong movie I ever watch.. it's full of suspense.. battle of wits between the 2 leads, Tony Leung and Andy lau.. really make your heat beat faster.

I'm not good in writteng review so I better quote the review in the internet,ya... here it is quote I take from asian fanatics.. actually this is not my favorite review.. you can find in imdb : http://imdb.com/title/tt0338564/#comment

Carried by four superstars of the silver screen "Infernal Affairs" has had a golden harvest, earning over $50 million ever since its release in the Christmas season. Alone on the first day of its Hong Kong release it broke all box-office records by earning a stunning $2.56 million, making it one of Hong Kong's most visited movies in 2002!
Ming (Andy Lau) is a mole in the police department. On the command of his Triad boss Sam (Eric Tsang), he became a cop when he was merely 18. After a decade of hard work, he has become a police sergeant in the Criminal Intelligence Bureau. With the help of Sam who tips him off with intelligence of his Triad rivals, Ming manages to earn kudos from his superiors. After passing a recent examination with flying colors, he has high hope of being promoted to probationary inspector.

Yan (Tony Leung) is a police mole in the Triads. Recruited before he even graduated from the police academy, he was initiated into the Triads as a teenaged underling. During his decade as an undercover, he has been convicted eight times of causing bodily harm to others, jailed twice, and sentenced to compulsory psychological counseling. As a Red Pole, or enforcer, his immediate boss is none other than Sam.

Leading parallel lives, Ming and Yan are feeling increasingly trapped in their false surroundings. Wobbling in the inferno between the living and the dead, they are desperate to find a way out. Ming would like to sever all ties with his illegal past and become a real cop. To do so would mean the elimination of Sam. Yan is sick and tired of chopping people up in the name of justice, and is striving to regain his real identity. Only one person can help him: Superintendent Wong (Anthony Wong), the man who recruited him as an undercover.

Their curious paths finally cross each other one fateful evening. During a police attempt to topple Sam's illegal operations, both sides realize there's a mole amongst themselves. A series of cat-and-mouse chases ensue, as each side is competing to uncover their mole first. To make things even more chaotic, Ming is finally promoted to probationary inspector and is transferred to Internal Affairs. His first assignment is to uncover Sam's mole in the police department...

The hyper thrilling police-bandit undercover story that was co-directed by Andrew Lau ("Young and Dangerous", "Storm riders") and Alan Mak ("A War Named Desire") uses the duel of opposing parties that try to outsmart each other as theme and does not draw on the traditional formula of flying stunts and big budget explosions; yet it succeeds in keeping everybody's eyes pinned to the screen from start to finish, even after continuous viewings!

what the best of the movie is.. after I watch is, i still imagine for it, caring and sympathy for the character until now.. I never watch a movie that have a impact like this.. so, it's so incredible experienced for me.. now I really want to watch infernal affair 2 and 3(it's trilogy).. and in fact I bought 'the Departed' just want to know the Hollywood effort in remaking this incredible movie..

and there are others impact after watching IA... I become fan of Tony Leung Chiu Way. for this week, in my idle time.. I always find anything about him, about all the movie.. Tony leung is
famous actor, i knew him long time ago since he play in wuxia series, The new Heavenly sword and dragon sabre aka To Ling To and The Duke of Mount Deer... but this time, I tried to find all film that he casted and try to hunt them down..
I've just known that he has once won cannes in one of his role in movie called In The Mood Of Love and also has win many of award... He's such a good actor..

Ooohh.... I'm dying in watching IA 2 and 3 now...

oh,ya.. If you haven't wacthed the movie... I recommend you to watch it..
if you don't like gangster/triad movie, try IA... it superb...
