Merry Hero aka Pendekar Riang - Gu Long/Tjan ID

A few times ago, I said that I intent to make a review of the novel/series I have watched. Now, I would like to try to summary a novel by Gu Long, Merry Hero, translated in Indonesian as Pendekar riang by Tjan ID Locianpwe(Locianpwe mean Mr. or salutation for older man that is respected by us).
Forgive me is there are some mistype, grammar eror, or strange language in this summary... at least I'm trying..

The summary

This book told about the friendship of 4 unique persons, Kwik Tay Lok, Ong Tiong, Yan Jit, and Lim Taypeng. They were united by nature. And many ocassion happened in their path, unique evidence, mystery evidance, and the revealed of the each of character’s secret.

Kwik Tay lok, means wide road. It suit with the people. Kwik Tay Lok is a carefree person, open-minded, straightforward, even a little dense/stupid. Kwik Tay Lok was not stupid, he could do a lot more than most people, and do them better.

he once have tried to be a Piawsau/an escourt(in an escort agency), but only last for 2 months, try to sell his martial skill, but only get a ripped trousers.. be a cook and only last for 2 weeks. and the last attempt is trying to become a bandit.. but this time, he met the "poor ghost" Ong Tiong, so he was not just robed, but also have to pawn his sword.

Ong Tiong is another character. Ong Tiong means always move... but in the reality, Ong Tiong rarely move... maybe you can’t find another person in the world who is more lazy than him. He’s different from other people.. If a coin sudenly drop from the sky, maybe you will turn your head to it and cacth it, but Ong tiong stay still, even if a glass of wine drop in his face, or someone spit him in his face, he would not moved or a beautiful-naked woman striped naked, he still would not move. But once he moves, you can’t imagine how fast he is. Ong Tiong is the the owner of the big house(forget the name, I think it’s “Rich Village”)

You can imagine if Kwik Taylok and Ong Tiong makes friend, what will be next.. but there is still Yan Jit. Yan Jit. Jit means seven, he has died for seven times. What 100 man did can be done better once by Yan Jit. Maybe you will find difficulty in finding something that he can’t be done. Oh, ya..when he first meet Kwik Tay lok and Ong Tiong, Yan Jit can drink wine while his body is upside down. Maybe that’s why they can three can get along.

But there is still Lim Taypeng. Taypeng means save/secure. But since he come, they never fell secure anymore. Lim Taypeng was first time brought by Yan Jit. When he first come, he nearly dead of starving and cold. Lim Taypeng is looks more to a girl than a man. He looks like a kongcu from a rich family but he has an extraordinary kungfu.

So, they four become best friend, without thinking nore care about each background, and they meet many of mystery and adventure.

The first adventure they face is when they mysteriously got 4 box of gold coin and a box of precious treasures. So, they try to find who is the owner, and how come those box can be there. In their finding, they meet 3 govermant office(I don’t know what it’s called.. in Indonesia is Opas maybe constable is more fit, ya??), who find a runaway thieft, and somehow related to the boxes of precios treasures and coins

The second adventure is connected with Lim Taypeng Background. When Yan Jit and Kwik Taylok find that there’s a mysterious woman with incredible kungfu skill trying to find the location of Lim Taypeng. Who she is and what her purpose in looking him.. and will she success finding Lim Taypeng is known later.

The third adventure is about Ong Tiong. When 5 mysterious kite were flown not far from their house. And because of that Ong Tiong who ussually cold, motionless, and lack of emotion acted strange. I’m not good in telling the story of this part. One thing for sure that I think this part is the best from all their adventure.

The fourt adventure is connect to Yan Jit.. Yan Jit dissappeared. Where she is, maybe the correct question is who she is, and why she run away from their house, and why Kwik Tay Lok become worried with her dissappearing.

And the fifth adventure is connected with Lim taypeng again. About the story itself.. maybe it’s better for you to read it yourself then I summed up for you..

and there still some minor adventure they face in their journey, like the revealed of the mysterious Ong Tiong's mysterious teacher, the Kwik tay Lok's secret and also the mysterios famous assasins who have cross mark in his face.
